PolyMatte™ is a 40wt polyester with a deliberately low-sheen, satin-matte finish. That's the whole selling point: you get polyester's strength and colorfastness without the shine that gives poly thread away on a modern quilt. Next to cotton it reads similar, but it's stronger and produces almost no lint.

This set is 15 full 5,000-yard cones in a curated primary assortment — the core brights and base hues you burn through fastest. Cones this size are aimed at volume work: piecing a full quilt top, longarm runs, anything where stopping to swap thread is the actual cost.
