Aurifil 28wt thread is great for machine quilting. I also use it in the bobbin when machine quilting. The heavier weight thread shows nicely on the top of the quilt.

Something is definitely different with this thread. I have used gutterman hand quilting thread for many years on many quilts. This batch knots and frays and seems to be less glazed. I am disappointed.
I have used Gutermann threads for years. Both cotton and polyester threads are quality threads. I have never had any problems with my projects because of the thread. Gutermann also has a huge quanity of colors. I never had a problem matching colors. I am so happy I found Red Rock Threads because they carry Gutermann threads at good prices.
I love this brand of thread for big stitch quilting. Very soft and so many pretty colors.
