These are pre-wound Size M bobbins, wound with WonderFil's 80wt DecoBob™ cottonized polyester. Size M is what most longarm and midarm machines take — check your bobbin guide if you're not sure.

Two things set these apart from cheap pre-wounds. There's no glue or wax holding the wind together, so nothing gums up your bobbin case. And the bobbin itself is reusable plastic-sided rather than disposable cardboard. The 80wt thread is deliberately fine: less bulk in the seam, and a matte finish that sinks into the fabric instead of peeking through from the back.

Machine-wound bobbins also carry more thread than you can get winding your own, and they wind evenly — which shows up as more consistent tension, most noticeably in embroidery.

The Neutrals assortment runs through beiges and browns — the range that disappears into cream, tan and wood-toned fabrics where a stark white bobbin thread would show.
