Pat Sloan's ten-spool 50wt neutral box — the creams, greys, taupes and near-whites that piece almost anything without fighting the fabric. The least glamorous set here and probably the most used.

50wt is Aurifil's most versatile cotton — fine enough for flat, crisp piecing seams, and equally at home in needle-turn applique, English paper piecing, machine embroidery, and dense background quilting.

Care: Aurifil cotton is colourfast and low-lint. Machine wash finished projects cold with like colours. Store spools out of direct sunlight.
