The wide soleplate covers more ground per pass, and a U-shaped groove in the base circulates steam across the plate rather than dumping it in one spot — more even, more efficient pressing. When something won't give, Power Shot fires a concentrated blast at it. Spray handles set-in creases the way a spray bottle would, without the spray bottle. And vertical steam takes care of curtains and hanging garments in place.

The handle is built for long sessions — ergonomic, stable, easy to hold, the kind of thing you stop noticing, which is the point.

Safety is handled two ways. Left standing upright, it shuts off after 10 minutes. Left face-down or on its side — the way an iron actually causes trouble — it shuts off after 1 minute.

The water tank has an anti-calc system so mineral content won't stain your fabric, plus a 2-way cleaning system that keeps the steam holes from clogging. Clogged steam holes are what turn a good iron into a spitting one, and this heads that off.
