Panasonic 360 Freestyle Cordless Steam Iron
The cord is the worst part of ironing, and this one doesn't have one. The iron sits on a charging base between passes and comes off hot — no cord to drag across your project, catch on the board, or knock your carefully arranged pieces out of place.
The soleplate is the other half of the idea. It's double-tipped, with a point at each end, so the iron moves forward, backward and side-to-side without you turning your wrist. If you press seams for quilting, that's the difference between working a block and fighting it. The nickel-coated stainless steel is non-stick, so it slides over fabric without tugging or dragging wrinkles into what you just pressed.
Full heat, steam and dry control at the touch of a button, plus vertical steam for curtains and anything already hanging up.
When you're done, the cord retracts into the base and the heat-resistant case snaps onto the iron and base together — so it stores as one piece and travels to class or retreat without a separate box.
