Karen Lewis built Coastal Walk across four different threads — 80wt, 50wt, 8wt and Wool 12wt in one ten-spool set. That range is the point: it lets a single palette move from invisible applique to heavy textural hand stitching.

Aurifil's Wool 12wt is a 50/50 wool-acrylic blend on a red spool — soft, matte, and slightly fuzzy, ideal for wool applique, embroidery, and adding texture.
