- Gutermann Extra Strong is a 12 weight 100% polyester thread built for seams that take a beating.
- A high break point and heavy construction let it cope with highly stressed seams that ordinary all-purpose thread gives up on.
- Made for upholstery and furniture, denim, leather, canvas, tents, awnings, bags and outdoor gear.
- Equally at home as a decorative topstitching thread — the heavier weight shows a stitch line off the way a 50wt never will.
- Polyester, so it resists rot and mildew and has enough give to move with a seam instead of snapping.
- 100m (109yd) spool. Works best with a topstitch or jeans needle — 100/16 is a good starting point — and a longer stitch length.
